Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
Technical Source is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support a regulated manufacturing facility by building, executing, and continuously improving equipment reliability and maintenance strategies. This role is focused on Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and mechanical integrity, with the goal of improving asset availability, reducing unplanned downtime, and ensuring compliance in a safety‑critical environment.
This is a hands‑on, site role where the engineer partners closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and CMMS teams to move the organization from reactive maintenance toward a proactive, data‑driven reliability program.
Key Responsibilities- Lead asset criticality assessments to prioritize maintenance and reliability efforts
- Develop, optimize, and standardize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using RCM and risk‑based methodologies
- Build and maintain accurate asset hierarchies and master data within the CMMS (SAP PM/MM preferred)
- Partner with system owners and CMMS teams to create and improve PM and PdM plans
- Design, implement, and sustain a comprehensive predictive maintenance (PdM) program, including:
- Vibration analysis
- Infrared thermography
- Oil analysis
- Motor testing
- Ultrasound
- Laser alignment and motion amplification
- Establish PdM startup baselines and perform ongoing condition monitoring and data analysis
- Develop and execute lubrication and mechanical integrity programs
- Support equipment installation inspections, commissioning readiness, and operational handover
- Support refurbishment, shutdown, and long‑term asset lifecycle programs
- Ensure CMMS data integrity, master data verification, and audit readiness
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance and engineering teams to enable sustainable, cost‑effective maintenance practices
- Follow all safety, environmental, and site compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required
- Associate’s degree with 6+ years of maintenance and reliability experience may be considered
- High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of relevant experience may be considered
- 2+ years of engineering experience with a focus on reliability, maintenance engineering, or asset management preferred
- Working knowledge of RCM, FMEA, PM optimization, root cause analysis, and failure analysis
- Hands‑on or working experience with PdM technologies (vibration, IR, oil analysis, motors, ultrasound, etc.)
- CMMS experience required (SAP PM/MM strongly preferred)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and basic electrical/HVAC schematics
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a strong plus.
