Piper Companies is seeking dedicated Metrology Technicians to join a world class team ensuring precision measurement and quality excellence in an automated, regulated biotech environment.
This role has an onsite expectation in Clayton, NC.
Responsibilities- Calibrate & repair temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass & frequency measuring equipment
- Lead, conduct, & participate in systematic problem solving
- Support cross functional investigations
- Accurately & legibly record all activities in appropriate documentation. Write work orders
- Lead calibration activities as scheduled, supported by the Metrology Lead
- Review documentation for accuracy & completeness
- Process confirm calibration activities are performed per standards, Operate & handle calibration working standards with care & expertise
- Attain & maintain aseptic clean room certification
- Identify deviations per proper procedures for measuring equipment
- A.S. in related engineering or science discipline from an accredited university required,
- May consider a High School Diploma wit 6+ years of relevant metrology/calibration experience
- 4+ years of relevant metrology/calibration work experience required
- 4+ years of thorough understanding of instrumentation & control systems required
- Competencies in the following areas:
Calibration, Instrumentation & Controls, Electro-Mechanical systems & Electronics required - Ability to calibrate process and utility instrumentation required
- Experience using electronic calibration management systems such as SAP, Blue Mountain RAM, Pro Cal, MAXIMO, etc required
- SAP is highly preferred
- Salary Range: $30/hr-$45/hr
- Type:
Consultant, 12 months with potential for extension or conversion based on performance - Schedule:
Onsite; 7:30AM – 3:30PM; flexibility will be required for work surges. Some weeks may require up to 50 hours/week - Comprehensive Benefits:
