Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving Veterans? We are seeking motivated and experienced General Medicine Providers to join our team and make a meaningful impact by performing Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. This is a flexible, ongoing opportunity designed for professionals who own their own practice and seek a rewarding role helping those who have served.
In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments, incorporating some physical evaluations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment responsibilities are involved. The position offers the flexibility of working half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours), with immediate credentialing and onboarding. Enjoy the convenience of working within your own office location, within a 50-mile radius of multiple cities in Missouri, with travel expenses included in your compensation.
Key responsibilities include performing one-time non-treatment exams and assessments, submitting reports promptly, and completing administrative follow-ups. This position is ideal for providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine, and experience with compensation and pension is preferred.
What You’ll Need:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills
- Ability to operate independently within your own office
- Commitment to the Veterans community
Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension exams
- Certifications related to veteran healthcare evaluations
- Familiarity with government or military healthcare procedures
Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience
- Prior experience with C&P exams a plus
- Own an office within a 50-mile radius of designated locations
- Willingness to work on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling
- Local candidates only; travel is included in rates
- Quick credentialing process and training completion required
- No reimbursement for certifications or portal training prior to start
