Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic, health assessment, and patient care management duties.
- Review patient charts and follow up.
- Provide education to patients.
- Work under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Requires Physician Assistant degree with passing/completion of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) boards and three years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant, including education and experience, answers to supplemental questions, references, and other relevant information. The committee may set criteria beyond the minimum qualifications. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant’s earned grade, and a qualifying grade of 70 or more is required to be eligible for appointment. After initial interviews, candidates may be contacted to complete a Conviction Questionnaire, with a 3-day response window.
The top five candidates will be certified to the Department Director who will make the final decision.
All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory, with the cost covered by the County.
