* Process online documents in Workday, such as purchase orders, change orders, supplier invoice requests, expense reports, internal service delivery documents, supplier invoices, journals, and cash sales deposits. Ensure expenditures follow policy and are accurately entered and approved.
* Serve as a primary point of contact and resource for assistance with finance services, providing professional and courteous customer service to departments supported by UA Finance. Act as liaison between the department, suppliers, and central area functions such as Accounts Payable, Resource Management, and General Accounting.
* Assist with analysis of department revenue and expenditures and preparation of financial reports as assigned. Monitor account balances, maintains open encumbrances and processes journals as needed. Assist with fiscal year end close.
* Continually look for opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy of transactions. Provide feedback on UA financial processes and systems.
* Ensure consistency of accounting practices and adherence to university policies and procedures. Maintain a thorough up to date knowledge of policies and procedures, including the University’s statement of internal controls.
* Complete special projects as assigned.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Demonstrated ability to modify one’s own behavioral style to interact successfully with UA staff in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, and respond to their needs with a high level of professionalism.
* Service-oriented communicator who is a true team player actively invested in the mission of UA Finance and ensuring its goals are met.
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail; ability to manage high volume workload efficiently.
* Previous experience in a university setting is preferred.
* Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.
