We are looking for experienced General Medicine providers to perform essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Missouri. In this role, you will conduct interview-based exams, including physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making it a focused, non-treatment position that values your medical expertise and commitment to service. With quick credentialing and onboarding, you can swiftly begin providing vital evaluations in various locations within Missouri, including Cape Girardeau, St.
Joseph, Mountain Grove, Butler, Farmington, Licking, Sedalia, Poplar Bluff, Rolla, St. Louis, and Kennet—offering a flexible, part-time PRN schedule based on your availability.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Missouri
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills
- Ability to perform exams independently and adhere to VA standards
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Certification in DMA or experience with VA or government assessments
- Prior experience conducting compensation and pension exams
- Familiarity with veteran health and benefits evaluations
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- State licensure in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in related fields
- Previous experience in disability or veteran assessments is advantageous
- Must own or have access to an appropriate examination space within a 50-mile radius of chosen locations
- Willingness to perform exams on a PRN basis, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
- Local candidates only; travel and expenses are included in the rate
- No reimbursement for certification or training prior to start
- Commit to following VES guidelines and billing structures
- Hourly flat rates: $800 for half-day sessions, $1,600 for full days
- One-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and first exams
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
