• Instruct cadets on how to safely perform various physical activities
• Design programs to educate cadets on how physical activity benefits the muscles and overall health
• Plan activities that help make exercise‑based learning more engaging for students
• Maintain attendance and other records
• Oversee the safety of the facility or area in which the assigned activity is being conducted
• Perform and enforce discipline, sportsmanship, and safe behavior at all times
• Maintain discipline and authority over students according to the First State Military Academy Discipline Policy Manual
• Perform other duties as assigned by the athletic director that relate to this position

The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, be self‑motivated, and have a passion for education and improving the education of all cadets.

• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a State of Delaware Certification in Physical Education
• Valid State of Delaware Teaching License, or eligibility to obtain one

• Satisfactory criminal background check before being placed on payroll
• Satisfactory child protection registry check
• TB Test
• Mandatory direct deposit of pay

Salary will be calculated based on the First State Military Academy salary schedule
