The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of front of house food and beverage operations at the club, ensuring exceptional member and guest service, maintaining high standards of quality, and assisting with administrative and supervisory responsibilities. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality in a private club environment.
Responsibilities- Operations Management:
Manage daily operations of dining outlets, banquet services, and bars; ensure consistent high-quality service and presentation across all food and beverage outlets; train front-of-house staff; oversee restaurant operations so all tables are cared for and tasks are completed; oversee closing procedures and ensure cleanliness and readiness of service areas. - Member and Guest
Experience:
Engage with members and guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly; promote a culture of hospitality and personalized service in line with country club standards; support the coordination and execution of club events, private functions, and tournaments. - Staff Supervision and Development:
Lead by example, motivate the food and beverage team; assist in training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development; participate in performance evaluations and coaching. - Administrative Duties:
Assist with inventory management; monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a private club, upscale restaurant, or resort.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in POS systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email).
- Serv Safe or Food Handler Certification preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional, member-focused private club setting.
- Indoor and outdoor work settings including dining rooms, patios, and event spaces.
