Senior Property Accountant

LHH is seeking a Sr. Property Accountant for a direct hire position with a large real estate company with a portfolio of over 7M Sq Ft. in commercial properties across 15+ states. This is a newly created, bonus eligible, direct hire position which was created due to growth. Based in the Claymont, DE area

We have placed 5 employees here over the past 4 years who have been promoted or are still enjoying their current role years later. Great corporate culture and dynamic team.

You will be responsible for month end close, debt reporting, monthly reporting, bank recs, fixed assets, mortgage, reviewing AP check runs & coding on invoices for portfolio of residential/ commercial properties.

This position also assists with producing timely and accurate financial reporting for assigned investment portfolios.

You will track weekly payments for select vendors and ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.

• Excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• 3-5+ years’ experience in property accounting/finance department
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with in the real estate industry is highly preferred
• Experience in public accounting will be considered
• Experience with MRI is a plus.
• Tech savvy with strong working knowledge of MS Office, including demonstrable expertise with Excel
