In this role, you will work under the supervision of an anesthesiologist in a busy Level 4 trauma center, managing a diverse patient demographic ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. You will be responsible for providing anesthesia care across approximately 20 surgical cases daily, including procedures in an endoscopy suite, within a fully staffed facility equipped with Epic EMR. The position involves sporadic PRN coverage with potential for future assignments, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
Required Skills:
- Valid CRNA certification and current license to practice
- Proven experience in anesthesia provision within a hospital setting
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-acuity environment
- Familiarity with Epic EMR systems
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population confidently
Skills:
- Experience in trauma or Level 4 acute care settings
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Prior experience with PRN or locum tenens positions
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia practice in a hospital environment
- Prior locum or PRN experience is advantageous but not required
- Must complete Epic EMR training prior to start or submit a waiver based on experience
- Successful completion of a physical and a 5-panel drug screen within 30 days of starting
- Willingness to work sporadic PRN shifts; variable schedule
