Responsibilities- Member Service
:
Exceed member service expectations, build trusting relationships, and show sincere interest in members’ financial success. Actively collaborate with the branch team to serve members efficiently. - Teller Transactions
:
Accurately complete teller transactions, balance drawer and checks at end of day, and perform tasks such as cashing checks, processing deposits/withdrawals, making member payments, handling CD transactions, and maintaining member accounts. Adhere to cash controls (drawer limits, buy/sell procedures, dual control, etc.). - Cross‑Selling
:
Use a consultative approach to generate referrals, ask high‑impact questions, and identify member needs. Leverage in‑depth knowledge of MSGCU products to cross‑sell, focusing on benefits and value. Employ Creating Member Loyalty skills to resolve complaints and find mutually beneficial solutions.

Build strong relationships, solve problems efficiently, and provide superior service. - Action Oriented:
Tackle new opportunities and challenges with urgency and high energy. - Communicates Effectively:
Listen actively, share timely information, and collaborate in team discussions. - Instills Trust:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a teller in a financial institution or as a retail sales representative/cashier.
- Office and branch environment with minimal noise, temperature, and dust.
- Occasional travel within MSGCU’s service area to support other branches.
- Potential exposure to robbery; receive annual training on safety procedures.
- Work involves sitting or standing most of the time, brief walking, and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Base hourly pay: $16.40 / hour.
- Eligibility for incentive compensation.
- For employees 21+ years: 3% MSGCU contribution to 401(k) and 100% match of next 7%.
- 12 paid holidays and up to 60 hours of PTO in the first year (pro‑rated based on start date).
