Forklift Maintenance Technician

The Forklift Technician is assigned to the Maintenance Department and is responsible for ensuring all forklifts are safe, well-maintained, and fully functional. This role requires adherence to all safety standards, including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Maintain and use the appropriate tools required to perform assigned tasks.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Order parts for repairs, preventative maintenance (PMs), and inventory stock.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to recommended schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Maintain forklift records and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Perform minor in-house repairs using electric welders and cutting torches.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems for forklift repairs and safety equipment installation.
• Independently troubleshoot engine, fuel, ignition, and hydraulic systems.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of forklift repair experience or completion of vocational/technical training.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; assistance required for items over 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and climb ladders.
