The Account Executive is responsible for driving growth by acquiring new commercial and industrial customers, maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding revenue within existing accounts. This role requires a balance of field activity, customer engagement, and disciplined use of CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors.
- Target both new-to-market and competitor-conversion accounts.
- Focus on customers generating between $200–$2,000 per month in recurring revenue.
- Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive activity to anticipate customer needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of company services, pricing structures, and value propositions.
- Establish and sustain long-term business relationships to drive revenue growth and meet pricing objectives.
- Prepare and execute service agreements with new customers.
- Represent the company at trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, and other industry functions to increase visibility and network with prospects.
- Partner with operations and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct on-site visits as needed to assess client needs and service performance.
- Utilize Salesforce (or similar CRM) daily to document activities, manage leads, and track the sales pipeline.
- Meet weekly activity standards, including outbound calls, appointments, and opportunity follow-ups.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly growth and sales quotas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to achieve revenue goals and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) for pipeline and lead management.
- Strong presentation and active listening skills.
- High personal drive and self‑motivation with a strong sense of ownership and competitiveness.
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience with a track record of exceeding revenue goals in B2B environments.
- 2+ years of industry experience in solid waste, recycling, or related services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
