Job Description

Description of Job Duty: Assist researchers in onboarding onto state-of-the-art research computing systems, tools, and software to enable research productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Essential Functions:
  • Researcher Engagement:
    Regularly assist a broad set of researchers through support requests (i.e., email, ticketing systems, chats). Help with routine issues in using research computing systems.
  • Solutions Development:
    Provide onboarding of state-of-the-art research computing systems, tools, and software to enable research productivity. Occasionally provide solutions to researchers that facilitate and/or enable research.
  • Partnership/

    Collaboration:

    Connect and coordinate the interactions between researchers and technology providers. Documentation/Training:
    Help review and test training material.
Work Hours

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Salary

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Level P2, Grade 12.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related professional experience, associate's degree with 3 years of related professional experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with 5 years of related professional experience.
