Role DescriptionThe Mechanic is a full‑time on‑site role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on UH‑60 Black Hawk / Chinook helicopters. The mechanic will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues, inspect and repair components, and ensure proper functioning of heavy equipment. Additionally, the role involves adhering to safety protocols and documentation requirements while working collaboratively with a team of technicians to maintain operational readiness and mission capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Aircraft Maintenance: Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with technical publications and company policies.
- Expertise: Maintain and troubleshoot twin‑engine tandem rotor systems, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Operational Readiness: Assist in keeping aircraft in top‑flight condition, ensuring reliability for operations.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide on‑the‑job training (OJT) to customer trainees, helping them build self‑sufficiency in aircraft maintenance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities following technical manuals.
- Crew Member Support: May assist in Maintenance Test Flights, Operational Checks, and the use of diagnostic equipment (subject to medical clearance).
- General Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (or equivalent industry certification).
- High School Diploma (Aircraft maintenance school or military training preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience on UH-60 Blackhawk or CH-47 Chinook.
- Proficiency in common and specialized tools, test equipment, and ground support gear.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
