Job Summary (Basic Functions)LG Chem Advance Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is actively searching for an EHS Technician to join our team in Clarksville, TN. The EHS Technician will be a technical function reporting to the EHS Supervisor or the EHS Director. The EHS Technician will perform inspection and data collection duties in support of regulatory and corporate EHS compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing Essential Functions (including but are not limited to):Safety Program Development and Implementation
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of EHS procedures and report findings as needed
- Perform routine patrols and inspections in support of regulatory and corporate requirements related to safe operations, air emissions monitoring equipment, stormwater and spill prevention plans, fire safety equipment, emergency response, wastewater discharge, waste storage and handling, etc.
- Communicate inspection findings to EHS Department Leadership
- Coordinate and/or perform safety validations of all new and/or modified equipment and/or processes. Evaluate and identify areas of improvement from a safety and health perspective to ensure employee safety.
- Effectively communicate guidance for the EHS Team, plant business production teams, production supervisors, and support areas, as well as EHS project teams.
- Support safety culture initiatives, implementing policies, training, and safety systems to reduce hazards and improve employee safety.
- Work with Emergency Medical Services (EMT/Paramedics) to respond to acute medical emergencies. The work site will employee an Industrial Nurse to treat minor work‑related injuries from a dedicated Triage and First Aid onsite room but may require field response to support local EMS.
- Participate in post‑incident investigations to identify lessons learned and improve future preparedness.
- Ensure that the workplace has adequate resources, such as first aid kits, medical equipment, and communication devices, to respond to emergencies.
