Construction Manager (Clarksville, TN)

We are supporting a construction company local to Clarksville/Montgomery County, TN in the search for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the reconstruction phase of fire and water damage restoration projects. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution, from planning through completion, to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry standards.

The Construction Manager will work closely with insurance companies, adjusters, property owners, and subcontractors to manage project scopes, approvals, and timelines. This position requires a strong balance of project efficiency, quality control, compliance, and communication, as well as the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with insurance professionals to support smooth claims processing and project approvals.

This is a temporary-to-hire position. It is intended to convert to a regular full-time position after 90 days if both parties agree.

Key Responsibilities Project Management & Coordination
  • Assess structural damage and develop a comprehensive reconstruction plan.
  • Utilize Xactimate estimating software for scopes of work and adjust budgets as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and skilled trades, ensuring efficient scheduling and high-quality workmanship.
  • Monitor project timelines and make adjustments to keep projects on schedule.
Insurance & Adjuster Relations
  • Collaborate with insurance adjusters to align on project scopes, estimates, and supplemental approvals.
  • Provide detailed documentation, including before-and-after photos, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Negotiate with adjusters on cost discrepancies and advocate for necessary repairs beyond initial scopes.
  • Ensure projects adhere to insurance policies and industry standards.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for property owners, explaining timelines, budgets, and processes.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of project progress, delays, or changes.
  • Address concerns and resolve conflicts between property owners and insurers when necessary.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all reconstruction work complies with local building codes and permits.
  • Enforce OSHA safety regulations and job site best practices.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure proper repairs and adherence to project specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience:

    5+ years in construction management, preferably in restoration or insurance-related projects.
  • Knowledge:
    Familiarity with Xactimate and insurance estimating software.
  • Skills:

    Strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can navigate insurance claims, manage construction teams, and ensure smooth project execution in a fast-paced restoration environment.

Compensation

$65,000-$70,000/annually (based on experience & qualifications) plus commission opportunities

Additional Position Details
  • Commission eligibility begins after a 90-day probationary period.
  • A company vehicle is provided for work-related use, including commuting between home and job sites.
