Gravel Truck Driver - Clarkston​/Lewiston

We are seeking qualified drivers to start with us in the spring in the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley/Kellogg/Coeur d Alene area.

• Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform driving operations using a variety of equipment
• Communicate as well as listen effectively
• Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and perform duties safely and productively to ensure quality work
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify safety and maintenance issues
• Perform physical activities including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and raking
• Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
• Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms
• Perform daily housekeeping on trucks
• Safely operate and maintain trucks
• Properly load, secure and unload material
• Accurately complete load tickets where applicable
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve situations (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance
• Performs other duties as assigned

• One or more years’ experience operating commercial vehicles
• Knowledge of the aspects of construction operations
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and CDL required
• Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts. Shifts may vary according to project demands
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be willing to travel if job requires
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
