Overview
This position is eligible for $3.50/hr supervisor premium pay, in addition to hourly base rate DOE. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards.
Responsible for care of patients in the SSSU/PACU and GI. Maintains the work area. Uses skills in nursing assessment to include recognizing post-anesthesia and post-operative complications. Works under the direction of Peri-Operative Director. Assists with the hiring of staff, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. Supports leadership on both clinical and non-clinical issues. Collaborates with Supervisors for issue resolutions and performance improvement projects.
Organizes and holds staff meetings to assist in educating and communicating staff members to achieve the best patient outcomes.

- Skills And Abilities:
- Must have strong communication/writing skills.
- Able to deal effectively with patients and family members.
- Able to work in a team environment while maintaining a highly professional and productive work ethic.
- Computer proficiency.
- Education And Training:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Licensures/
Certifications:- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington or Multi State license.
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire.
- ACLS/PALS required within six months of hire.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Surgery and GI required.
- 2-5 years of progressive leadership experience preferred.
