Responsibilities- As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations.
- Set the example and follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time; expect the same from your crew.
- Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image and adherence to standards, great customer service, attendance & punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing and profitability.
- Operate all equipment and stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory and complete associated paperwork, and clean equipment and facility daily.
- Communicate effectively: understand and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders in person or over the phone.
- Perform essential functions such as accurate arithmetic, making correct monetary change, and using a computer to enter orders.
- Ensure safety and quality by managing temperatures, handling fragrances and odors, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Essential skills
:
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; motor coordination for precise movements; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen; ability to comprehend and give written instructions; ability to communicate with customers and co-workers. - Work & monitoring

:
Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds with occasional pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing stairs, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and hand-eye coordination. - Temperaments
:
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, analyze data, and make judgments. - Additional information
:
Depth perception and differentiating hot vs cold surfaces.
- Standing for most tasks; walking for short distances; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with cases up to 3' x 1.5'.
- Deliveries and storage require handling heavy cases; stairs or ladders may be used for maintenance or price changes.
- Climates vary: cooler temperatures around 36°F and hot areas up to 90°F+, with exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Shaping dough and other hand-intensive tasks requiring steady hand-eye coordination.
