• Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly, accurately, and courteously; assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply selling behaviors during each transaction; thank every guest for choosing Game Stop; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system, ensuring top-notch guest service.
• Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; answer calls promptly, courteously, and professionally to ensure top-notch service.
• Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
• Ensure all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines; ensure store fixtures and equipment are in proper working order.
• Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
• Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safety practices; perform bank deposits as required.
• Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and move products from the stock room to the selling floor; ensure products are represented, organized, and alphabetized.
• Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits; ensure sufficient cash and change; make daily bank deposits following guidelines.
• Check shipments for discrepancies; record discrepancies in the POS system and report as needed.
• Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes accurately with packing lists.
• Visually inspect packages/belongings at store closing or end of shift.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
• Adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures and follow opening/closing procedures.
• Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback to store management.

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work alone and be on feet for up to 10 hours per day.

• Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet performance expectations including attendance, dress, and grooming.
