Salary GS-7: $50,460.00 - $65,599.00 GS-8: $55,882.00 - $72,644.00 Regarding the Threat Intake Examiner position:
* The National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have a variety of day, mid-day, night, adjoining/odd hour, and weekend shifts. Newer employees typically start on a mid-day or night shift. Shifts periodically change to ensure the needs of the Bureau are met.
* When the National Threat Operations Section (NTOS) experiences an extremely high volume of incoming checks, the Threat Intake Examiners are sometimes required to work a set number of mandatory overtime hours. Management attempts to provide as much notice as possible when overtime will be mandated.
* All Threat Intake Examiners are considered essential employees. This means you could be expected to work holidays and weekends.
* Additionally, this position is designated as "emergency". As an "emergency" employee, you may be expected to report to work during periods of adverse weather conditions or other types of emergency situations when it is announced that an "unscheduled leave policy" is in effect or that federal agencies are closed in your immediate vicinity.
* This is NOT a telework position.
* If selected for this position, relocation expenses will not be paid or reimbursed. Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications. KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Must be a U.S. citizen
* Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
* Candidates will be required to travel to Clarksburg, West Virginia to participate in the interview process
* As of May 2025, individuals are required to have a REAL driver's license to access certain federal facilities. If afforded an interview, it will take place at a federal facility, and you MUST have a REAL DUTIES:
* Receive, evaluate, and disseminate information pertaining to a variety of situations including criminal activity, potential and actual emergencies, and national security situations.
* Provide support to FBI field offices as well as other government agencies by conducting database searches and evaluating information received telephonically and/or through electronic submissions from the general public.
* Search defined sources such as FBI and open-source databases, social media platforms, and criminal records to evaluate and interpret the information to assist with various case work.
* Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and prepare reports related to terrorism, investment fraud, kidnapping, bomb threats, hijackings, school shootings, bank robberies, etc. QUALIFICATIONS AND EVALUATIONS Please ensure that your specialized experience and requirements are clearly identifiable in your resume.
