Day & Zimmermann is considering candidates for a General Superintendent opportunity at our combined cycle project in Clarksburg, WV.
Assignment Duration:
April 2026 – May 2028.
- Provide oversight to meet Safety Goals, Quality requirements, Cost, Schedule, and design requirements.
- Represent Day & Zimmermann in a professional manner, in appearance, conduct to employees or contractors and in business operations.
- Manage the day-to-day field activities of all disciplines.
- Attend daily STA meetings.
- Attend safety meetings.
- Provide daily reports.
- Conduct weekly schedule meetings with contractor.
- Approve requests for payments from contractors and ensure that the work has been completed per the design documents / quality documents for all claims.
- Process change orders for management and get approvals before executing the change.
- Work experience with union building trades craft of every discipline. (Need to provide experience in resume.) Card carrying member of a Building Trades Union.
- 10-15 years working experience in heavy industrial or power generation construction.
- Large‑scale EPC or multi‑prime projects experience valued at $500M or greater 200M.
- Must be able to read, interpret and have working knowledge of the following:
- Contract documents (JV and Consortium)
- Project documents, specifications, and Document Control
- Understanding of work packaging.
- Safety procedures.
- Project change management.
- Assist in the generation of Scopes of work, for subcontract documents.
- D&Z operating procedures.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $95,000 - $ 171,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
