Abdou Law Offices seeks an ambitious paralegal experienced in various types of civil litigation matters. Headquartered in Clark, New Jersey, Abdou Law Offices is a multi-practice law firm engaged in various types of civil litigation including real estate litigation, commercial litigation, construction litigation, estate litigation, personal injury and workers’ compensation matters.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ true litigation paralegal experience that can autonomously complete various substantive litigation tasks, under supervision of the managing attorney.
Such duties include but are not limited to:
- Drafting pleadings
- Drafting motions
- Drafting interrogatories and requests for production
- Drafting answers to interrogatories and responding to discovery requests
- Document review and management of responsive document production
- Drafting demand letters and various communications
- Legal Research
- Experience and ability in assisting with drafting of legal briefs is a plus.
Applicants must have strong communication, writing, organizational and computer skills. Applicants should also have strong time-management skills and be able to handle multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines at the same time. Must be familiar with working in various areas of the New Jersey Superior Court.
Experience with appeals and Federal Court a plus.
Significant experience with complex electronic filing (e-courts) is required. Experience with MS Office is a must, specifically, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Applicants must be able to think and work independently.
The office is located in Clark, NJ, and this is an in-office position, with some hybrid opportunities. The hourly rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
