Resident Assistant or CNA

Overview

The Birches Assisted Living is hiring for a Resident Assistant (R.A.). The opening is for a 3PM-9PM shift.

• As a Resident Assistant, provide scheduled and unscheduled assistance to residents with activities of daily living— all according to departmental and company policy and individual plans for service.
• Assist with and participate in meaningful programs and activities as assigned and may assist with lunch in the main dining room, as assigned.
• Know our residents and their family by spending time getting to know them.
• Understand the Successful Aging community’s philosophy, culture, and language.
• Build positive and supportive relationships to enhance the community culture.
• Engage residents in a genuine, compassionate, and memorable way and enjoy the moments spent with them.
• Support residents in adopting a successful aging lifestyle and celebrate their accomplishments and efforts.
• Motivate and support the potential growth and confidence of residents.
• Provide services as scheduled for assigned residents (e.g., activities of daily living such as bathing, oral care, grooming, clothing selection, dressing, undressing and changing, toileting, transferring, escorts, laundry, etc.).

• Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely wear required PPE including respirator unless exempt per company policy.

• Education:
  
  High School Graduate as a minimum.
• Certification as a nursing assistant (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred but not required. Experience working with older adults preferred, and a passion to support older adults required. On the job training provided.

Hiring PAY RANGE based on EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum to Maximum: $16.00/hour - $17.75/hour
