Position: Activities Assistant- FULL TIME

Overview

Activities Assistant / Enrichment Coordinator - Assisted Living & Memory Care — The Birches Assisted Living

FULL TIME Opening - MEMORY CARE - 8:30AM-4:30PM (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities
  • Implement programming that supports successful aging and memory care for residents living with memory loss and their families.
  • Build and support meaningful relationships with residents to help them grow regardless of age or physical or cognitive abilities.
  • Create and implement activities that support residents’ intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical abilities while fostering a fun, positive, creative, and inspirational atmosphere for residents and team members.
Summary

The primary purpose of the role is to implement programming that enables successful aging and support for residents living with memory loss, and to build meaningful relationships that benefit residents and families.

Education and/or Experience
  • Education:

    Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.
  • Experience:

    On-the-job training provided for those passionate about supporting older adults.
  • Driver’s License required to drive our bus for outings.
  • Experience in senior-living or related industry preferred.
  • Experience working with those living with memory loss preferred.
  • Experience as an Activities Assistant preferred.
Pay Range

Based on education and/or experience at hire:
Minimum $15.00/hour - Maximum $16.00/hour.
