- Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49‑bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics, alcohol withdrawal stabilization, gastroenterology and surgery.
- This position is responsible for patient care coordination on designated shifts for the facility in patient care areas in collaboration with the administrator on call.
- To ensure quality patient care consistently with the philosophy and objectives of the organization, this position provides direct operational support for the hospital on a shift basis, acts as a clinical resource person for the staff and acts as a liaison between staff and management.
- The house supervisor works with the staffing office as needed to ensure the best possible patient care is always given.
- The house supervisor provides communication link between managers, staff, patients, physicians and others.
- This position assists in patient placement as requested by transfer coordinator and in the planning of emergency nursing interventions.
- The position facilitates problem resolution and collaborates with administration, in assessing quality of care provided, identifying staff strengths and weaknesses, and in evaluation of staff performance.
- Interface with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning is also required.
- Coordinates the activities of personnel and engages in a variety of procedures in various units of the departments through interpretation of departmental policies and procedures for unit managers and staff personnel; participates in the investigation and preparation of reports relative to the importance of nursing care, safety training and personnel performance.
Job Requirements:
- Oklahoma RN license Valid Multi State
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of date of hire
- Must obtain PALS within 6 months of date of hire
Preferred
Job Requirements:
- Three years of experience in specific clinical area with one year previous management experience in clinical specialty
- Demonstrates ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in performance standards.
- Must be able to provide nursing care to patients of all ages, infants to geriatric population
- Demonstrates leadership and teaching skills
- Proficient typing and computer skills
