America’s CAR-MART, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Coordinator to help manage customer bankruptcy accounts and support our dealership locations through the bankruptcy process. If you’re organized, confident on the phone, and able to juggle multiple deadlines, this could be a great fit.
Pay$15.00/hour (up to 40 hours/week)
What You’ll DoIn this role, you’ll represent America’s CAR-MART, Inc. in customer bankruptcies and help ensure every filing is handled accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify customer bankruptcy notices and corresponding lot locations
- Partner with dealership lots on next steps after a bankruptcy is filed
- File claims and reaffirmations with the courts
- Coordinate vehicle surrenders
, transfers, and inventory updates for active bankruptcies - Coordinate meetings of creditors and required lot appearances; record meeting details
- Answer daily calls from lots regarding bankruptcy questions and issues
- Communicate with bankruptcy debtors as needed
- Negotiate reaffirmation terms and plan terms with bankruptcy attorneys
- Identify complex/problem bankruptcies and elevate to the Chief Legal Officer
- Open and process all bankruptcy-related mail and take appropriate action
- Negotiate insurance claims related to bankruptcy debts
- Manage auto insurance verifications/terminations for bankruptcy accounts
- Communicate with bankruptcy trustees on bankruptcy matters
- Receive and post payments on bankruptcy accounts; run deposit summaries and balance totals
- Maintain accurate records of filings, surrenders, and required appearances
- Produce an end-of-month bankruptcy activity report for the Chief Legal Officer
- Audit inactive bankruptcy accounts with Accounting via recap email
- Perform other duties as assigned; follow company policies and standards of ethics
Daily attendance required to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
