GeneralPurpose
Under the general supervision of the EXPO Facilities Operations Manager and performs as a lead working position responsible for coordinating and supporting day-to-day event operations and facility readiness at the Expo. This role focuses on event execution, staff coordination, and hands-on support before, during, and after events, while assisting with basic facility care and equipment readiness. The Foreman works alongside Expo Event Staff to ensure events are set up, operated, and broken down efficiently, safely, and in accordance with event requirements.
EssentialFunctions
- All duties are performed in accordance with applicable safety, security, and operational standards.
- In the absence of the Expo Facilities Operations Manager, and on a daily basis as assigned, the Expo Event Staff Foreman performs his or her duties.
- Coordinates event set-up, operation, and tear-down to ensure spaces are prepared according to event requirements and schedules.
- Ensures event areas are clean, orderly, and ready for use prior to and following events.
- Assists with basic facility upkeep and reports larger maintenance or repair needs to the Expo Facilities Operations Manager.
- Helps ensure equipment needed for events is available, operational, and properly stored.
- Directs and coordinates the work of Expo Event Staff during event set-up, operation, and tear-down.
- Assists with scheduling and assignment of staff to ensure adequate coverage for events and daily operations.
- Provides on-site leadership and ensures work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Assists with tracking and communicating facility or event-related issues to the Expo Facilities Operations Manager.
- Helps maintain lists related to event readiness, improvements, and follow-up needs.
- Provides input on priorities and timelines related to event operations and facility needs.
- Assists with inspections of event areas and equipment for safety and functionality.
- Operates equipment and tools necessary for event support.
- Works as part of a team on event-related projects and facility preparations. This includes working the events.
- May assist with cutting, fitting, laying, repairing, and cleaning materials in preparation for events.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job.
- Must maintain a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
- Must be insurable by city’s insurance carrier
- Employee must obtain Forklift Certification with the City of Claremore before operating a forklift.
- Must be able to working weekends, evenings/nights as events require.
- 2 years’ experience of supervising is preferred.

Work EnvironmentWork is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to dirt, dust, debris, animal waste, mud, grease, and other materials commonly associated with event operations and facility use. Noise levels are generally moderate but may increase during event set-up, tear-down, or the operation of machinery and power tools. The position may require working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
