Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry,Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Perm
RN - Registered nurse (Med Surg/Telemetry / Progressive Care (PCU) - Claremont, NH

Shift: Nights (7pm to 7am)

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly, including vital signs and telemetry readings.

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.

• Interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors and identify abnormalities or arrhythmias.

• Respond to emergencies such as code blue or rapid response situations with appropriate interventions (e.g., CPR).

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records (EHR).

• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge care plans.

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and case managers.

• Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections and ensure patient safety.

Education, Licensure, and

Experience:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Required

• Active RN license in the state of assignment - Required

• Compact State License - Accepted (if applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required

• Other certifications (e.g., NIHSS, PALS) - Preferred but not required

• 2+ years ICU, PCU, and/or Med/Surg nursing experience - Required

• 2+ years Emergency Department (ED) experience - Required

• Telemetry experience (cardiac monitoring & rhythm interpretation) - Required
