Are you a detail-driven financial professional with a passion for fund administration and investment accounting? Join a dynamic team in Claremont, where you’ll work closely with finance, administration, and risk management teams, as well as third-party administrators and brokers, to ensure accurate and timeous fund reporting.
In this small but high-performing team, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, embrace variety, and use technology to improve processes and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and reconcile hedge fund and long-only portfolios.
- Process and monitor daily cash inflows and outflows, and prepare portfolio cash forecasts.
- Liaise with administrators, brokers, and custodians to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure settlements are completed on time.
- Review daily and monthly fund reporting, including NAV movements and fee calculations.
- Prepare investor reports and respond to client queries.
- Maintain and update in-house databases and corporate actions calendars.
- Review TER / TIC calculations and prepare data for Minimum Disclosure Documents (MDDs).
- Manage proxy voting processes.
- Monitor fund compliance exceptions and report to the Compliance Officer when necessary.
Skills &
Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of relevant regulations, including Regulation 28 and Board Notices 90 & 52.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
- Advanced Excel proficiency and a tech-savvy mindset.
- Proactive, confident, and a collaborative team player.
- Passion for process automation and innovation.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Commerce degree with a focus on financial accounting.
- Relevant experience in the financial services industry, ideally within investment management, fund administration, or an accounting traineeship.
- Experience with portfolio administration systems (e.g., Opus Portfolio Manager) is advantageous.
