* ** Position

Description:

*** First responder to all process defects and failures – helps operator place accurate information into the QN
* Respond to process priorities as directed by on shift leadership
* Utilize troubleshooting guides for defect investigations
* Maintain accurate QN database with all required information
* Provide input to Process Engineer for defect elimination
* Record all process changes in the Change Log as required by TL9000
* Provide instruction and training on process changes as required
* Assist Process Engineering in maintaining production tooling inventories
* Support process trials and projects as required
* Assist shift Maintenance TSA’s as required.
* Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems
* Comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and guidelines
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management

* Education Required:

** Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent technical work experience
** Preferred:
** Six-Sigma Green Belt
** Experience

Required:

*** Minimum of five years in an optical fiber / cable manufacturing facility or equivalent
* Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner
** Preferred:
*** Previous experience in a technician role.
* Proficiency in at least two optical cable manufacturing processes
