GENERAL OVERVIEW
Provides care to women and their families throughout their lifespan.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs procedures within the scope of midwifery practice as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives and outlined in the practice guidelines. (50%)
- Performs assessments of physical, psychosocial and educational needs. (25%)
- Provides diagnosis and order appropriate treatment and medication. (25%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Travel required between Jefferson Hospital and Forbes Hospital
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Nurse Midwife Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Current PA Midwifery license with prescriptive authority
- Current PA driver's license
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- 1-3 years’ midwifery experience
