Government Advocacy

Job Summary:

We are looking for a candidate who is currently working at a Mexican Government Institution to oversee public affairs strategies at the national and local levels and foster relationships with government institutions, policymakers, and regulatory agencies. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong lobbying experience to influence public policies and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement government relations strategies to advocate for policies aligned with business objectives.
Establish and maintain high-level relationships with government officials, legislators, regulators, and key stakeholders.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, identifying risks and opportunities for engagement.
Represent the organization in public policy discussions, working groups, and regulatory forums.
Provide analysis and strategic recommendations on political and regulatory matters.
Lead lobbying efforts at the federal, state, and municipal levels.
Manage external consultants and industry associations to advance policy objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams to align business operations with regulatory frameworks.

Requirements:
10+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory engagement.
Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
Proven experience in lobbying and political advocacy.
Deep understanding of Mexico’s legislative and regulatory environment, particularly in digital economy sectors.
Strong track record of policy development and government engagement.
Ability to navigate complex political landscapes and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
