Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will lead the store team in servicing customers and helping meet store goals.
CompensationPay Range: $16.50 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

EssentialJob Functions
- Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs.
- Coordinate staffing with the store manager to ensure adequate coverage during peak business hours.
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training compliance.
- Assist in recruiting tasks: scheduling, interviews, candidate evaluation, and collaboration with management on hires.
- Ensure telephone policies are followed and customer communications are handled professionally.
- Oversee buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders, ensuring timely processing and customer notification as needed.
- Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger for efficient handling of special orders and outside purchases.
- Process returns and exchanges efficiently; issue refunds correctly and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
- Ensure merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, posted work schedules, clock-in/out practices, and proper deviations approvals by management.
- Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare deposits, verify building security, and ensure delivery vehicle safety.
- Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification
- Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
