Overview
The incumbent is responsible for properly preparing foods listed on the menus that are to be grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, poached, or prepared in the pantry or pantry area.
Responsibilities- Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento as their premier gaming entertainment venue, actively building and retaining guest relations, and acting as a mentor to team members to provide superior service.
- Prepares foods that are to be grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, poached, or prepared in the pantry; ensures all plates are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specifications.
- Recognizes a variety of sauces and places them correctly on all entrees featured on daily menus.
- Maintains a clean and organized work station.
- Assists coworkers to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
- Inspects all equipment and reports any safety failures, hazardous areas, or accidents.
- Properly stores all foods, including those from previous functions.
- Ensures all items are fully stocked and equipment is in good working condition.
- Closes work stations correctly at shift end.
- Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
- Performs duties regularly and predictably.
- Assists with other duties during special events or parties, including carving, cooking, setup, or teardown as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary apprenticeship, Associate’s Degree from a culinary institution, or equivalent with industry experience preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience.
- Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
- Use all equipment associated with the position, including choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders.
The Tribal Council gives first preference in all of its employment practices to members of the Enterprise Rancheria Tribe who meet the job requirements.
