GI Pain RN PRNC – Citrus Heights, CA

We are looking for a Full‑Time Registered Nurse who is a team player to join our Gastroenterology department. The ideal candidate brings good energy, enjoys customer service, and performs well with minimal supervision.

• Monitor and assess the physical/psychological status of patients during pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑operative phases of surgical events.
• Address the psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients and families, acting as patient advocate in care coordination.
• Interpret diagnostic measures such as lab tests, radiology exams, EKGs, etc.
• Identify patient goals and communicate them to the care team.
• Use professional nursing judgment to implement and adjust the nursing care plan, resolving identified problems.
• Utilize supplies, equipment, and resources to control costs without compromising care delivery.
• Reduce risk of nosocomial infections by emphasizing infection control and environmental safety practices.
• Report and document information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive, caring attitude toward patients, peers, staff, and other contacts.
• Seek guidance or assistance when needed, following the Center’s policies and participating in the QI program.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security of patient information and Center communications.
• Familiarize with all equipment, especially emergency supplies, and participate in mandatory staff meetings and services.
• Demonstrate flexibility in patient care assignments, schedule, and the Center’s needs.
• Supervise less qualified employees, delegating duties based on qualifications, skills, education, and competency.
• Maintain a clean, pleasant, and safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In the Nurse Manager’s absence, assume her responsibilities as delegated.

• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
