Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong understanding of project-based financial management and FP&A experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, asset-focused environment and is comfortable navigating complex projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting financial decision-making across development and operational activities.

• Oversee daily accounting operations related to projects spanning across multiple businesses both in the US and international markets
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, job cost reports, and project-level P&Ls
• Maintain general ledger and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations
• Manage job costing, WIP (Work in Progress) schedules, retention, and change order tracking
• Support asset-level reporting for real estate properties, including hotels (if applicable), tracking operating performance and capital expenditures
• Handle fixed asset accounting and real estate depreciation schedules
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant construction and real estate accounting standards
• Assist with external audits and provide financial reporting packages
• Identify process improvements and participate in accounting system upgrades or integrations
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively convey information and interact with diverse stakeholders
• Exceptional time management abilities, with a proven track record of prioritizing tasks and maintaining organization under tight deadlines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and achieve common goals
• Demonstrated personal effectiveness and credibility, consistently delivering high-quality work and upholding company values
• High technical capacity with proficiency in managing multiple social media platforms and utilizing tools like Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite
• Ability to manage stress and remain composed during complex business operations, ensuring a calm and focused approach to problem-solving

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience FP&A and analytics
• Strong understanding of job cost accounting, project reporting, and asset management
• Experience with accounting for hotel or hospitality and real estate assets is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
