Dev Ops Engineer/Cloud Dev Ops

Cirencester area – car needed

£45,000 – £55,000 DOE

Core hours 10:30-3:30pm – 37 hour week

A growing technology business based is looking to recruit a Dev Ops Engineer to help scale the cloud infrastructure behind its data platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Dev Ops foundations who wants to deepen their experience within a modern AWS cloud environment. The platform processes large volumes of UK data and supports a product used by developers and property professionals nationwide.

Working alongside a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will help maintain and improve scalable infrastructure while gaining exposure across a modern Dev Ops stack.

Tech Stack

• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Load Balancers)

• Docker

• Kubernetes

• Python

• CI/CD pipelines

• Grafana / Cloud Watch

• Linux

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using CDK (Python)

• Support containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines

• Monitor platform performance using Grafana, Cloud Watch or similar tools

• Work across core AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3 and load balancers

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues

• Maintain clear technical documentation and operational processes

Key Skills

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS or S3

Hands-on experience with Docker and exposure to Kubernetes

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to write and debug Python

• Strong Linux command line skills

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Cloud Watch)

Desirable

Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform or Cloud Formation)

Exposure to logging, tracing or APM tools, with awareness of AWS cost optimisation

Interest in GIS, mapping or geospatial data
