We’re now looking for a Systems & Data Developer to take ownership of our SQL Server environment, data pipelines, and internal systems—while also helping shape our next‑generation AI chat capabilities.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing Data & Systems Development- Designing and maintaining SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views and ETL processes.
- Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Optimising database performance and enhancing reporting outputs.
- Supporting the development of internal and customer‑facing AI chat functionality.
- Investigating and resolving data quality, performance and system issues.
- Supporting .NET‑based applications (basic debugging).
- Working with third‑party platforms and integrations.
- Setting up laptops, accounts, permissions and system access.
- Assisting with configuration, patching and general maintenance.
- Supporting access control, data protection and security standards.
- Contributing to Cyber Essentials compliance.
- Maintaining clear technical documentation.
- Background in a technical role such as Database Developer or Data Analyst.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve data/system issues.
- Experience providing IT or systems support.
- Understanding of data security and access control.
- Familiarity with .NET applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear communication with technical and non‑technical teams.
- Power BI or similar BI tools.
- SSIS or other ETL tools.
- Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, vue.js, Node.
- Azure or cloud data platforms.
- Experience in an SME environment.
- Reliable, well‑maintained data integrations and systems.
- High‑quality, accurate data delivered to the business.
- Proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Strong collaboration with operational teams.
- Ongoing development of your technical capability.
