Summary:
We are looking for a People Hub Generalist to join the People Operations, Technology & Data division. This role sits within the People Hub and provides first-line HR support to employees and line managers across SJP. Acting as a “one stop shop”, the role is key to delivering a consistent, timely and employee-focused People service across the full employee lifecycle.
This is an excellent entry point into the People function, offering exposure to core HR processes and strong development opportunities towards specialist or People Partner career paths.
What you’ll be doing:- Act as the first point of contact for employee and line manager queries, providing clear, consistent and policy-aligned advice across the employee lifecycle, including benefits and share administration.
- Deliver a best-in‑class People Hub service, working within agreed SLAs and established processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Maintain high standards of data governance, ensuring employee records and position data are accurate, compliant and up to date, and escalating GDPR or data quality issues where required.
- Produce accurate employee documentation and letters to support lifecycle events.
- Promote self‑service and easy access to information, supporting changes to processes and ways of working as they evolve.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the People division (e.g. ER, Payroll, COEs) to ensure smooth end‑to‑end People processes.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including process development, policy review input, and HR system testing for BAU changes and releases.
You will be someone who is customer‑focused, organised and keen to build a career within the People function. You enjoy managing a varied workload, working within clear processes, and providing high‑quality support to colleagues across the business. You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, with a strong interest in developing your HR knowledge and capability over time.
Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of the employee lifecycle and core HR processes.
- Experience of working with systems and managing workload through a case or ticket‑based approach.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate employee data and documentation.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain policies and processes confidently.
- A customer‑focused mindset and ability to manage multiple queries effectively while working to SLAs.
- Experience working in a shared service or HR operations environment.
- Exposure to HR systems testing or process improvement activities.
