Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Bury St Edmunds / Salary £52,000

Applicants must be local residents to be considered for this role. Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer with strong experience working on industrial machinery.

Shift: Full-time, Panama shift (6am6pm, days & nights) Salary:
Up to £55,000 5% performance bonus after 6 months Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical production equipment Work with conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical drives, bearings, gearboxes, and general machinery Assist with new equipment installation and commissioning Keep accurate maintenance records Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Follow Health & Safety procedures and remain flexible for on-call duties Requirements:
Qualified in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Strong background in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance Expertise with:
Conveyors Pneumatics Hydraulics Mechanical systems and assemblies Knowledge of Health & Safety protocols including Lock Out/Tag Out, Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, ATEX/DSEAR Contact:
