This is a deep technical process engineering role specific to FIP applications
.
Develop & optimize FIP processes
Stabilize cycle times, reduce scrap
Mold validation & tooling collaboration
Material evaluation (foam & resins)
Statistical analysis:
SPC
DOE
Six Sigma
Support new product launches & process transfers
Maintain PFMEAs & control plans
Familiarity with automotive quality systems and standards (e.g., APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949)
3+ years FIP (Foam-in-Place) or injection molding experience in automotive
Strong materials knowledge (polymers)
CAD proficiency (Solid Works/AutoCAD)
Strong data analysis (Minitab/Excel)
Most materials-focused
Most data/statistics heavy
Most process-optimization centric
Specialized FIP expertise required
Project-based engineering vs. system governance
