Polyurethane Foam Process Engineer (FIP / RIM – Automotive)
Process engineering for Foam-In-Place injection molding

This is a deep technical process engineering role specific to FIP applications
.

• Develop & optimize FIP processes

• Stabilize cycle times, reduce scrap

• Mold validation & tooling collaboration

• Material evaluation (foam & resins)

• Statistical analysis:

  • SPC

  • DOE

  • Six Sigma

• Support new product launches & process transfers

• Maintain PFMEAs & control plans

• Familiarity with automotive quality systems and standards (e.g., APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949)

• 3+ years FIP (Foam-in-Place) or injection molding experience in automotive

• Strong materials knowledge (polymers)

• CAD proficiency (Solid Works/AutoCAD)

• Strong data analysis (Minitab/Excel)

• Most materials-focused

• Most data/statistics heavy

• Most process-optimization centric

• Specialized FIP expertise required

• Project-based engineering vs. system governance
