Logistics Coordinator

Road Dog Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support daily freight operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, building strong carrier relationships, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery, and maintaining clear communication with customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at problem-solving and multitasking.

• Source, vet, and coordinate with carriers to move freight efficiently and cost-effectively
• Book loads and confirm shipment details with carriers and customers
• Track shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure on-time performance
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status, delays, or issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions, delays, or load issues
• Negotiate rates with carriers when needed
• Maintain accurate load documentation and system updates
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers
• Provide daily updates and performance reports to the Lead Broker
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

• Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation preferred but not required
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
