- Comply with site and transportation security plans.
- Transport hazardous materials in straight trucks, box trailers and/or bulk tankers
- Comply with Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and all state and local regulations regarding transport of hazardous materials.
- Comply with the “Transportation of Product” work instruction and all other company instructions that are relevant in the performance of your job.
- Inspect equipment, load, containers, vehicle, and supplies prior to leaving the yard
- Ensure placarding compliance
- Ensure proper cargo securement before leaving the yard and at all times during transport
- Ensure tractor and trailer registrations are available before leaving the yard
- Collect COD payment for goods when required
- Hook up and operate product transfer equipment and perform appropriate inspections (bulk only).
- Maintain appropriate XATA information or paper logs/forms
- Load and unload trailers as required
- Transport returned product and containers in accordance with work instructions
- Carry required PPE and respirator to assist in spill cleanup as necessary or required
- Maintain tractor and trailer equipment in good order
- Initiate Service Reports when service issues or enhancements are recognized
- Participate in spill clean up
- Other work as assigned
- 1 year commercial driving experience
- High School education or equivalent (GED)
- CDL with minimum A and H endorsement
- Knowledgeable of D.O.T. and other pertinent regulatory requirements
- Familiar with chemical hazards, incompatibilities and handling requirements
- Familiar with ISO 9001 concepts
- Service Report system
- Understand all applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, etc.
- Knowledgeable of products and business strategies
- Familiar with Responsible Distribution concepts
- Knowledgeable of plant emergency and security procedures
- Knowledgeable of transportation emergency and security procedures
- 24 hour Hazwoper course

Pay rate: Dependent on experience; $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
