An experienced Backend Java Developer focused on backend development, application system support, and configuration of our complaints management process on CMT. CMT is a complaints workflow tool running on IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) hosted on Web Sphere. This role will support Fifth Third Bank's integration with Comerica Bank (CMA) and will require experience with Java, Java EE (Jakarta EE), and Web Sphere.

The work will focus on developing new features to support workflow compatibility with CMA data, integration with updates to backend services, and application support.

Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
• Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle.
• Determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products.
• Designing and conducting tests.
• Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Experience in the Spring Framework.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Java J2EE;
  Hibernate.
