Onsite in Cincinnati, OH
Our client is a leading U.S. financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Test Automation Engineer.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60.00 to $73.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand application flows and translate them into automated test steps.
- Create new Java classes and methods using object-oriented design for test automation.
- Select unique web element locators and author custom XPath expressions as needed.
- Implement web automation practices including waits, synchronization, frame and window handling, and interaction with diverse element types.
- Develop and maintain Selenium Web Driver-based tests and reusable utilities.
- Author and maintain Cucumber feature files with tags and scenario outlines, and link Gherkin steps to underlying Java functions.
- Configure and use a Test Runner with JUnit hooks to control setup, execution, and teardown.
- Manage dependencies with Maven POM and integrate external libraries as required.
- Support and refactor existing automation scripts to accommodate application changes.
- Schedule and execute automated tests via Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and publish results.
- 4+ years of experience with Java for test automation and web testing.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, loops, exception handling, and Java collections such as Hash Map and Set.
- Ability to identify web objects by properties and create unique locators and custom XPath expressions.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium Web Driver methods and syntax.
- Experience with Cucumber or other Maven-based test automation frameworks, including Gherkin step implementation.
- Experience creating and using a Test Runner with JUnit hooks for setup and teardown.
- Experience managing dependencies via Maven POM.
- Experience scheduling test execution in Jenkins CI/CD and publishing results.
- Familiarity with Tricentis qTest and integration with Java-based frameworks (preferred).
- Experience in API development (preferred).
- Experience with AWS (preferred).
- Expertise automating deployment of SSIS packages using CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
