Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Base pay range: $150,000 - $175,000 per annum.

Company overview:
An established engineering company located in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA specializing in Space, Aerospace, Navigation, GPS/GNSS is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop pioneering timing, positioning and navigation software.

Must be a USA Citizen or Permanent Resident.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and validation of state‑of‑the‑art embedded timing, positioning and navigation software with GNSS, IMUs and other navigation sensors to deliver RTK positions. The role includes:

• Design and development of GNSS and RTK firmware.
• Design and optimization of algorithms for positioning and sensor fusion.
• Implementation and optimization of complex GNSS, INS, and navigation algorithms.
• Participation in all stages of the software development life cycle.

• BSEE or MSEE degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or equivalent.
• 5‑7+ years of industry experience.
• Embedded software programming in C/C++.
• Experience with GNSS & RTK firmware development.
• Experience designing or optimizing algorithms for positioning and sensor fusion.
• Deep understanding of GNSS, INS, navigation algorithms and their efficient software implementation.
• Familiarity with software development life cycles and tools (issue tracking, git, CI/CD, design documentation).
• Knowledge of embedded software engineering (memory management, linking, firmware startup, RTOS).
