Your Impact

The Telecom Commercial Premise Technician - Level IV plays a crucial role in detailed site surveys, installation, integration, and testing of Customer Premise fiber systems and routers. This position requires minimal supervision and is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of telecom installations.

Responsibilities
  • Master installation skills and testing per Telco Standards, performing duties with competence and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive equipment installation and system testing on a wide variety of fiber systems.
  • Work with transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, and Juniper.
  • Maintain documentation accuracy and compliance with company/customer installation documents.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and colleagues to ensure successful equipment setup and integration.
  • Perform quality audits and resolve project-related issues using defined processes.
  • Execute tasks such as installing cable trays, telecommunications equipment, and conducting equipment tests.
  • Address equipment and technical issues, ensuring adherence to industry and customer standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of installation experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • High school diploma with additional technical school training in telecommunications field installations.
  • Proficient in laptop computer skills and applications, understanding of company/customer policies, and MS Office proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to pass pre-employment background checks, and insurability.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA Standards and lift up to 50lbs, with a willingness to work various shifts and travel as required.

Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 USD
