We are a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractor that specializes in building automation and industrial piping. Our team offers a wide range of MEP and process piping services, including design‑build engineering for new construction and renovation, installation and specialty construction, maintenance, and air‑balancing, start‑up, and energy‑efficiency services.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC/Low Temp Refrigeration Technician to service, install, and repair HVAC, chiller, and refrigeration systems—including ultra‑low temperature freezers and cascade refrigeration units—for both existing and new accounts. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex mechanical systems while ensuring safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong refrigeration background, excellent electrical and schematic‑reading skills, and familiarity with Building Management Systems and PC‑based applications.

Professionalism, clear communication, and the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service, install, and repair HVAC, chiller, and refrigeration equipment—including ultra‑low temperature freezers and cascade refrigeration units—for existing and new accounts in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Apply working knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex HVAC equipment.
  • Use PC applications and Building Management Systems related to HVAC operations.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Perform chiller preventive maintenance, freezer, and cascade unit troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts or materials used.
  • Utilize company and vendor resources to complete tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, and maintain a clean work area.
  • Follow schedules and budgets.
  • Wear company uniform and required safety PPE; perform job hazard analysis.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication.
  • Interact with customers by providing status reports of service before, during, and after each call.
  • Explain technical information effectively and professionally to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong refrigeration background.
  • Minimum 5 years field experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good electrical skills.
  • Refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
  • Self‑motivated team player.
Language Skills

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English and to cooperate and collaborate with multiple levels of customers, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
